       This book, in many ways, is a miracle.  It presents a reading system that has done miraculous things for children.  It introduces a new way to teach reading to people, young and old, who have not been able to learn to read using conventional methods.  We wrote this book for all the children and all the parents who have shed so many tears over reading difficulties.  This book will hopefully teach you the same method that we use at Neuro-Learning Systems.  We call it "Neuro-Reading".  (Pronounced ner  row - reading)

Education Firm Finds Cure for Significant Public Health Problem.
   Washington, D.C. - In an address before a Senate Committee, Dr. G. Reid Lyon of the National Institutes of Health, declared "reading failure reflects not only an educational problem, but a significant public health problem."  He further stated that "about 60% of our nation's children have significant difficulties learning to read. For 30% of these youngsters, reading is the most difficult task that they will have to master."
      While failure to learn to read is more likely among poor children, recent data derived from the National Assessment of Educational Progress reveals an alarming trend.  In the State of California, 59% of fourth graders had little or no mastery of reading skills at the fourth grade level.  A whopping 49% of these children came from homes where the parents had graduated from college. In fact, children of college educated parents scored lowest with respect to their national cohort.  Reading failure cuts across all ethnic and socioeconomic variables.  This problem is not new, actually little has changed in the last thirty years. 
       A newly formed Maryland education firm, Neuro-Learning Systems has developed a method to teach  all students how to read.  Dr. David Furr, director of Neuro-Learning Systems says, "We have found a piece to the puzzle.  Our clinical trials have shown that our system works and it works fast.  We are able to advance children a full grade level in as few as 12 hours of teaching."  Some students who were previously labeled "learning disabled" in the area of reading were able to shed that label after using this system!
